Tips for cooking on board

  • Plan your supplies well: You often only have limited storage space on a yacht. So opt for ingredients that are versatile, such as rice, pasta, tinned food and fresh fruit and vegetables that will keep for a long time.
  • Cooking with little water: As water on board can be limited, dishes that require little water or where you can use the cooking water several times are ideal.
  • Simple is often better: At sea, it’s often not the right time for complicated dishes. So opt for simple recipes that are quick to prepare and don’t require a lot of kitchen equipment.
